# How to Tell if You Need a Prescription for a Product

At Pet Chemist, we offer both prescription-only medications and over-the-counter healthcare products for pets. Here’s how to determine whether a product requires a prescription or not:

## **Steps to Check Prescription Requirements**


1. **Search for the Product**: Use the search box on the Pet Chemist website to find the product you’re looking for.

2. **Check the Product Page**:
   * If the product requires a prescription, you’ll see **Prescription Medication** information listed on the page.
   * If a prescription is required, you can place the order and upload your original, signed prescription after checkout. The prescription must be on file before we can dispatch the medication.

3. **No Prescription Required**:
   * If there is no mention of a prescription requirement, the product is considered an “over-the-counter” item. No prescription is needed to process your order.

Examples of over-the-counter products include **Pro Kolin**, **Synbiotic D-C**, and various **flea, tick, and worm treatments**.
